Thanks for the info...

I will confront the manager with graphs, and might force leaving the apartment. My neighbor apparently told her that she was manipulating the meters... and she replied that if he didn't like it he could leave with his deposit...

I won't pay 25% - 30% of my rent on Electricity, it is simply ridiculous...

She charges 65 Baht per cubic metre in water, which is as well ridiculous in a country like Thailand...

Living in France in the blue coast for some years my Electricity bill cost in one year 2 months of the one in Bangkok...

We have a 3 bed house, about 140 square metres living area, 2 a/c run all night, another runs all day. Lots of electrics running 24/7 - total bill is usually around 3k a month. This is not BKK but regardless, something is very, very wrong with your bill... even when we had a larger place with a pool pump running a few hours a day it never passed 5k

Note that additional charges are added to the above by the PEA

These are Ft charge (currently 0.54 Baht/unit) and 7% vat.

Wow. I'm staying in nice decent modern hotel room with good internet, good A/C, fridge, microwave, TV and my laptop running all the time (work at home) all for 20K and it's close enough to Asok BTS. I actually chose the place because it was all in and I didn't want to deal with wondering what my bills were. I was planning for next time to find one of these "cheaper" places I hear about but now I'm really wondering if this 20K is a great deal. I mean im in the room with the AC and TV and Computer running almost all of the time. If I end up working at home in one of those 7 baht a unit "cheap" condos I could end up paying a lot more than 20K it sounds like...am I wrong here?
