Would it be possible to get a mortgage on a condo here by the farang owner if he has a regular income from abroad?

I ended up using savings to buy my condo 4 years ago as it was such a hassle when I went to banks to ask. If you look at Siam Legal now however, they now have a page about buying a condo with links - apparently UOB International do offer condo loans to foreigners. I never saw that at the time I was looking.
You might also want to look at how much tax you have to pay when you sell a condo....

Don't need the loan to buy a condo, i already own it 100%. Want to know if its possible to borrow against it using a local thai bank.

A buddy of mine just got a mortgage from a bank here. He worked with- thailand home loans (dot) com

His was a full mortgage to buy but apparently you can borrow against existing property. He is Italian and his wife Ukraine.
