So my question is, does anyone knows how long I'll have to wait to get my new tourist visa in vientiane? I have done it in phnom penh, 3 days, penang, 2 days. Greenwich Boy Posted March 19, 2013 Share Posted March 19, 2013 Am planning on doing this trip myself soon so have looked in to it a bit but no first hand knowledge. It is hand in application day 1, pick up day 2. but the application I believe has to be in before 12 and if you are doing the Nok Air flight in the morning to Udon you may not get there in time so you may need 2 nights in Vientiane.
