Hi there,

My wife and i intend to travel to UK ASAP, the reason behind the visit is i really need a break from Thailand, not so much the drinking but everything else, as much as i love it here, it has taken its toll, the constant death & BS and so on around you in Phuket .

Any way this is a break down of what we have for the application.

Married last month in BKK.

Travelled out of the country together three times,

Myrimar Sep (visa run) 1 day

KL Dec Shopping and visa run 3 days

Singapore Mar Shopping and visa run 4 days

Finacials

due to all my money being tied up in the UK *another reason for return as the rate of exchange is pointless to sell my assets, and my villa build in south Thailand*

My father and mother have sent over the following as the sponsor (inviters)

  1. Passport for each signed photocopy
  2. Bank statement for basic account stating average 1700-2k going in each month (they do not want to have their main or business accounts used as they dont want money siphoned out so we are sticking with this account - my advice.
  3. Letter of invitation (attached with names blurred for here)
  4. Council tax bill for property (blurred just for here)

Is this enough information?

On our side,

  1. We have Car 1 year old but from brandnew.
  2. 25 Rai tree rubber land (brings about another question below) - essentially the land is in Trang, the land is currently in her mothers name as we tried to transfer but was told we would need to transfer in April due to subdistrict, (example of one of the chanutes attached. problem we have here is that the land its self is not like normal land as in the land we have the villa being built on (currently waiting for chanute to arrive also... and by different i mean we were told up to 5 months, as the land is i can only guess nature land and is ok for tree rubber ect but im not sure on the legalities. - my personal thoughts here is that we do the transfer as organised, recieve paperwork there and then (correct or incorrect) stating that the land is being transferred, have my wifes mum write letter in thai have translated stating that she has transfered the land and the land and business - tree rubber business creating 30-60k baht a month is now my wifes but waiting on the Thai local goverment to finalise. - the other problem is we have another 100 aches in the same manner but if we do in blocks of 25 i think best as just get that out of the way, and i believe there are many chanotes for each bit of land looking at them (i dont read script).
  3. Provide proof of money - we have anything from 60-100k go through the accounts monthly.
  4. we have 200k in a share scheme we can pull at any time.
  5. we have 100k owed to us in new car buy scheme owed april this month.(are they paying out as the wife was a bit worried about this tbh.
  6. we have a gold scb 30k credit card and a 15k other credit card (my recommendation to build credit rating for her, we use all 45 k a month and pay off immediately every month, with out fail. the reason behind this i worked in finance previously and i know a good credit trail opens many doors.
  7. pics from everywhere - we havent left eachothers side for more than the working day since June last year. (how many should we submit we dont want to cover them in photos? can i give them a usb device they can load up all photos ???)
  8. My wife works for Centara and has done for over a year, prior was true tv in BKK, not like a bar girl, hard working chinese thai.
  9. My wife holds a bachelors degree in teaching from Bangkok second honors, even have a picture with her and thai princess giving her her degree (should we include these???)

is there anything we are missing or we should add?

we are looking for 3-6 months, then change to settlement from outside uk (essentially she is my wife so i believe it should be easier, doc attached).

Check:

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/446602-uk-visit-visa-basics/

It is all there.

You should show a reason for the visit, ability to fund visit, availability of accommodation and reasons to return. It sounds as if there is plenty to go on with the information provided.

Explain the situation with your wife's assets in a covering letter.

Visit visas are not that much of a problem if you provide the right information.

Check the basics and come back with any questions as there are plenty on the forum that have been through this!

Settlement is a lot more involved but there is a pinned thread on this as well.

Best of luck!

My advice is that you use one of the visa companies.

Non sequitur (Latin for "it does not follow"):

From Post #1: My wife works for Centara and has done for over a year,

From Post #4: You should show a reason for the visit, ability to fund visit, availability of accommodation and reasons to return

From Post #6: ps my wife resigned today
