I bought champs cs99 vacuum sealer in makro and the bags have run out. I have been trying other vacuum bags and they don't work. Does anyone know where to get the bags? makro don't sell and other vacuum bags don't seem to work.

Makro sell them at the place that sells champ. They are not bags but rolls that you have to seal and cut. Thick but not cheap.

I ordered them abroad FoodSaver Vacuum Bags‏ (US).

Speaking of cheap, I have an old friend in the states that makes them a little longer washes them and re-uses.

the ones at macro seem cheaper than those in the states on that website. From memory they worked out about 2 baht a long bag.

You can use some ordinary bags too but most are too thing. You have to experiment.

THe ones that come from champ at makro are labled Replacement bag rolls model #cbr2206 22cm* 6m long and there are two rolls to a pack.

I've bought single vacuum bags from another shop and they don't work, I can only get them to work with a straw in, then the machine seal can't melt the straw properly and air gets back in.

Typical Thailand to have stores that sell the machines but not the bags! Even though they have every other type of bag under the sun.

the champ machines are all sold in a separate area of makro. In the case of Chiangrai it is outside the store. In Chiangmai it is inside the store toward the back.

Chiangrai definitely have them so the other champ dealers should.
