What Doors For Garden Terrasse ?

Need to replace wooden frames. doors with small glass tiles. Want an undisturbed view, i.e. large glass doors. Door leading from living room into unfenced garden facing river front. Looking at Global House I did´nt see much that looks relatively secure. What do you use? Frame material, thickness of glass, lock system ? Most door had only this simple sliders as locks.
