Sending Mail: Most Reliable Methods?

Featured Replies

I am completely naive on this matter. I know FEDEX, UPS, DHL, Thai Post, and others but I know nothing of the costs and what's the best way to send items on a regular basis, in the vein of whether there is a bulk rate? What about customs? I ask because I want to send 2nd hand clothes to friends in Europe and North America. They pay for the items/shipping. I just need to know how to do it and whether there could any customs issues with 2nd hand items. Thank you.

Google "Thai Post" and spend some time on their excellent English language website. You say you are shipping OUT of Thailand. There are no customs/tax issues for that here. If you want to know about such issues with the receiving country, this is not the place to find out. This is Thailand.

If you want to bring used clothing into Thailand, I can guarantee from first hand experience that you will be screwed so bad you can't walk if you use FedEx.
