Visa Expiration Date Question

Featured Replies

I obtained my current triple entry thai tourist visa in August of 2012 and it has an expiration date of february 20th, 2013.

Does this mean that I must arrive in thailand on or before february 20th, 2013, at which point I have 3 entries of 60 days each, or does this mean that I must use as much of this visa as I can prior to this date, otherwise it becomes void?

I ask because I have already done one visa run, and was allowed entry back into thailand until april 9th, 2013, which is obvsiouly past my expiration date. So when I leave the country next time and try to come back in, are they going to allow me to use the final entry provided by the initial visa of 60 days, or will they simply give me the usual 15 day stamp because the initial visa is now 'expired'?

I would greatly appreciate any information that any of you can provide regarding this matter.

thank you!

Nope.

The Visa has now expired.

You had to make your final entry before Feb 20th.

You can extend your current entry by 30 days at Immigration. 1,900 Baht

Hey thanks a lot, LB. That's what I was thinking would be the case, just needed to clarify. Looks like I'll be applying for a new visa sometime during my stay in Laos.
