PATTAYA:--Early on Wednesday Morning Pattaya Police were called to the Yingyom Beach at the end of Pratamnuk Road Soi 5 to assist a Russian woman who was subjected to a purse snatch by 4 Thai Men, 2 of them faking a road accident to distract her while the other 2 took the purse.

At the scene a Russian friend of the victim had detained one of the four men who was unable to escape. Khun Sakdar aged 26 was taken to Pattaya Police Station along with the victim, Miss Viktovi Maximova aged 24, and her Russian Friend.

2,000 Baht had been taken from the purse which was left behind by the three suspects who were able to escape. The one left behind, Khun Sakdar, revealed how the 4 men devised a plan to fake a road accident in front of the Russians to distract them enough so the purse could be snatched.
