Dtac Network Problem Since 11 Days(At Least)

Recommended Posts

hi,

Some friends and I are experiencing problems during communications(all of us are using DTAC), sometime the call can't be made(network busy) or worse, for like 10-15 seconds we can't hear the other person talking while he/she can still hear us.

i made a phone call to dtac center to let them know about the issue, we're all located around plai laem.

did you notice similar problems?

Hi!

The technical problem what Dtac have on Samui is that the use to many microcells in a short distance !

The mobile phone always use that cell with strongest signal , normaly there should be no voice cut when the cell change , but when this process happen to quickly in a short time then connection is gone!

When you open the network location name you see that on some place in Samui signal change quickly between to cells with nearly identical signal strength!

Exactly at the moment of the change line is gone!

1800 MHz like Dtac is using Always make more problem!

Another problem is that one cell can only handle aprox 50 calls simultaneously

Then it says network busy!

Many normal gsm providers in thai

Use strong voice compression you talk 15 minutes , then the voice quality goes down , to handle more people in the cell!

Hang up and dail again!

then it's good again for next 15 min!

In 3G you not have this problem!

Notice, that use of a cheaper promotion 200 min for 150 bath within one week results in 12 call also in a lower voice quality, that people have withouth a promotion!

Because many people talk in big area this seems to be the only way to use the limit network space!
