Popular Post loserlazer
Informed by some high ranking honda guys today that honda will build inline four/higher displacement bikes next year in Thailand! They told me that, it might be honda cbr600r and also a higher displacement touring/adventure and maybe different models they said. It looks like this time it is serious. It is very good news indeed if they produce an inline four bike in Thailand. It is like dreams come true at the end:lol: And it will break our chains from the current average offers in Thailand and others like kawa of course follow the case too. My only fear is that they might make fuel efficient, cheap spec and heavy bikes like honda nc700 series. Still, I am desperately waiting for that day. Lets all wish...
Spoonman
Just cause they build em here does not equate they will be sold here.
taninthai
The problem they have is the price they are selling big bikes at now,if they built and released a 600r here it would virtually kill any sales of the cbr 1000r with it's silly price tag .who really knows what's gonna happen we will now have a good year of gossip and rumours
Popular Post NomadJoe
But will they make them in a BOI like Triumph does? If so, they ain't gunna be any cheaper. If they do like Kawa has done with the EX650's, then we should be looking at around 375k for a CBR600RR versus the current 700k or so. It's supposedly the most comfortable of the middleweights. I really miss my R6 but have gotten used to the relative comfort of my 2013 Ninja 650 (with clip-ons.)The CBR at 375k-ish would be the perfect bike IMO. I actually think the 2012 model looked better. taninthai
I can't see any difference between them apart from front headlight and fairing but yes the front fairing and headlight look better on 2012 model agreed
Garry
Just cause they build em here does not equate they will be sold here. Yeah exactly. For examply Toyota Thailand make an export (MIddle East) Fortuner which cannot be bought in Thailand. Bugs the hell out of me, as it is a 4 liter, V6, twin cam(I think?) VVTI, petrol, engine, 5 speed auto, AWD and goes like a rocket. I know as we have two as lease vehicles. Sorry I digressed to cars, but you get the idea Edited April 7, 2013 by Garry

I know as I have seen Toyota at work in Australia serving dross by the boatload!

The 2.7 version is a twin. We have them here in Qatar although I drive a 6 litre V8 Sequoia (modded and remapped ) Best bit though is that 97 octane is only 8 baht a litre. nikster
Wow, excellent news indeed. Supposedly Kawasaki is making the inline-4 Z800 here in Thailand but not selling it (yet)...
guzzi850m2
Now Honda BigWing is setting shops up all over the Kingdom, perhaps this have something to do with this? They will be ready for next year if they sell them here to Thai prices.
JonnyF
I really hope this happens, it would be my first Honda (bike) for around 10 years. As with many things in Thailand though I'll believe it when I see it.
dec
tail section of the CBR 600 is looking fairly dated by now... very 2003 ish :/...anyway, i won't be holding my breath especially after Hondas latest offerings and restricting the only proper performance bike they sell in Thailand
BirdsandBooze
The only range I've heard about that's set for manufacture in Thailand is the CTX700. I'd dance like a Jack Russell terrier with a biscuit on my nose for a normal priced CBR600RR.
nikster
"New CBR600RR will be produced in Thailand" "But, I don't like the headlights...." Whine much? I like those headlights, they give it character. Bumber cars - sure those were cool!
macknife
The CBR600RR is simply the best looking sports bike on the planet. Nothing Ducati makes even comes close.

Nothing Ducati makes even comes close.really,i prefer the look of the r6 or gsxxr in the 600 range, and well ducati is in a completely different class, not saying i dont like cbr 600 but it wouldnt be my first choice bike if all bikes were available here. JonnyF
Back in the real world the CBR would probably be my 4th middleweight choice behind the ZX636, GSXR600 and Daytona. Living here in the Twilight Zone, I'd take any European or Japanese inline 4 under 400k and count my lucky stars. But it still looks like a dodgem..
BSJ
It's a pity Suzuki have not seen fit to build the Hayabusa here. I may be tempted if it had a 500k sticker, but I am not at 880k....and the one I saw was a 2011!
