steelerian
Hi all, Does anyone know where I can find any information regards closing/opening holiday dates for Samui Immigration over the Songkran holiday period? I am due to get my extension stamp on Tuesday 16th April, which I believe is a public holiday in Thailand. So assuming they are closed on (Monday &) Tuesday, would I need to go on Friday 12th? Thanks PS. 5 day holiday, Must be nice. I need to go for a 30 days extension on my tourist visa. Its due on the 16th, so I guess I will have to go on the 11th and lose 5 days. If I go on the 17th I will have to pay 1 day overstay, even with their holiday shutdown?

You don't lose days by going early, the extension starts from the end of your current permission to stay - not from the date you apply. Dont know about other Visas, but surely works for Tourist Visa
