It depends on how much is consumed and in the context of the rest of the diet. Most fruit is about half fructose. There's no way I'm going to give up fruit because of suggestions that fructose will damage the liver. It's a natural sugar (along with glucose) that your body can handle perfectly well in reasonable amounts. This also has to be taken in context of the complete picture (diet).
