I recently bought a motorcycle at Auction here in Chiang Mai .The green reg book is supposed to come to me by post in around a month or more .The bike has no reg plate but i have a photo copy of the reg book page with the reg number .Where can i get or order a reg plate from ?

Also to tax and insure the bike do i have to wait untill i get the reg book ?

Take the book and bike to your local land transport department. They may ask you to make a police report for the missing or stolen plate. Perhaps a receipt stating this is how you bought the bike will suffice, you will have to ask. If the book doesn't come, you cannot get a new plate.

Nong Hoi Drive-thru tax will sort everything out, near the Holiday Inn and Rajavej Hospital, towards the back of the complex (front deals with tax, back motorbike registration).
