kuma
Wondering if anyone has experience getting to DM on the first day of Songkran. Should we give ourselves hours to get there? Travelling light so thinking about bts/mrt to mo chit then taxi. Not sure if that would make things worse or better. Any thoughts??

Mario2008
You can also take the train to Don Muang, but limited options for that. Check: http://www.railway.co.th/home/Default.asp?lenguage=Eng for you option, right side to fill in stations and options will appear. As it is the start for Songkran, traffic jams can be expected. Do indeed at least take mrt/bts to mo cht and take a taxi from there.
kuma
Thanks for input. This year Friday is a holiday so hopefully that eases things as many should head out Thursday night..train is an interesting option but slow I hear. Will likely do mrt to chatuchak and then cab it....
