April 13, 201313 yr Hi I have a Non-O Marriage Visa. I am presently working as a Stock and Futures trader with the accounts based in United Kingdom. My Thai wife has opened a Food Shop recently. She wants me to help or work with her. However if anybody could help me find the relevant answers to my questions as under: - Can I help my wife in her Food shop Business? If not, then what can possibly be done that allows me to help her legally? I will be glad if somebody could find me a solution to this problem. Regards Travel Man
April 14, 201313 yr You could be a manager or if you were to set-up as a partnership you could be managing partner. But you cannot get a work permit to stock the shelves or check people out of the store and etc. Are you on an extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai from immigration or a multiple entry visa? You could do it with either one but an extension of stay would be the best option. To get the work permit after company formation you would need to have 2 Thai employees and one million baht registered capital. Edited April 14, 201313 yr by ubonjoe

But I think it would be appropriate to open a Partner company as suggested. In that case Do I have to switch my Non-O Marriage visa to some other visa or just apply for work permit after opening a partnership company. Cheers
April 14, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the information. You do not have to switch, you can get a WP on your current permission to stay. Cheers
