Triple Entry Tourist Visa Extension Expired + Need Extra 5 Days

Featured Replies

Hi all, just after a bit of advice that I am sure someone can answer quickly.

My triple entry tourist visa ends on 9th June and that is the date my final 30 day extension at Immigration expires.

My flight to UK is on 13th June, can I extend or again by 7 days at Immigration or is that it?

Is my only alternative to leave the country and just re-enter on a 'normal' 30 day tourist visa on arrival? If so, is that possible by land eg Mai Sai?

So just to reiterate, I have had 60 + 30 + 60 + 30 + 60 + 30 and need to extend by 5 days.

Appreciated!

Need to leave /or you can pay the 5 dAY fine at the airport 2500 B

fogot to add Mae sai you dont get 30 days you only get 15/14days so you ae covered if you only need an exta 5.

Do a bounce and stay legal. If you only need 5 days then you can pick and choose the best day to do it.

If you have a ticket out of Thailand during the 7 days you will be able to extend for another 7 days to "clear out". Cost 1900 baht, but cheaper than a border run or paying overstay. Wait until the last day to do the extension.

Didn't think you could do a 7 day after a 30.

The 7 days is not really an extension. You are requesting an extension, but it will be denied and they will give you 7 days to clear out. That's why you should wait until the last day of your current permission to stay.

correction

Poster says "extend it again" for seven days but seems to be referring to 7 days on top of the 30 day extension (can be read as already extending 7 days but that is impossible due to dates involved) so yes the 7 days to pack out would be available.

Just to clarify....the last of my 3 visa's (of my triple entry tourist) is 60 days and in a few weeks extended by 30 days at Imm, now need to get that extra time until after those 30 days until my flight departs.

One question.

"so yes the 7 days to pack out would be available.".....is this just a normal stamp, or is it classed as overstaying and in any way reflects badly?

7 days should be available. Go on the last day of your current permission to stay. It's a normal stamp, no overstay involved.

It is classed as an application for extension of stay that is not approved. You thus have 7 days to leave the country. It is not viewed as a negative.

Last question, apologies......this 7 days, can I get this from CM Immigration Office or do I have to do a border run?

You get from immigration using normal TM.7 application and paying 1,900 baht fee.
