Has anyone got a 60 day tourist visa from the embassy in Bangkok?

Just wondering what is required and how long it usually takes, like hours or days etc.

Apparently not.

But here is the visa information from the Bangkok embassy's website.

N.B. Most countries have different entry requirements/regulations according to a traveler's nationality. Therefore it helps if you state this in your OP when asking about visas.

Yes, seen that, but that is why I have asked for direct information from someone that has done it.

That website says the voa is not extendible I have information from people in the country that it is extendible for another 30 days max.

That website says a tourist visa cannot be extended for more than the time issued, ie 30 days. But again, I have information from within the country that says it can be extended to 60 days in total and that 60 days can actually be obtained from embassies outside the country prior to the visit.

So, therefore need up to date info from someone that may have done it.

If not, no biggy, but no harm in asking hey as it is an information sharing forum after all.

Also as I do not live in bangkok I wish to know the time frame to achieve such visa as it would be pointless to plan to come for one day if it takes 2 etc.

Indeed, there is no harm in asking and a forum is for sharing.

But as this is Thai Visa not Indonesia Visa you may not get much response; as indeed you haven't.

It's almost certain that almost all members here who have traveled to Indonesia have only done so for up to 30 days.

May I suggest that you either ask the people inside Indonesia who have given you the information for more details or see if there is an Indonesian equivalent to Thai Visa?

But as said in my previous, if you are going to ask on a forum it would help you get relevant replies if you said what your nationality is.

I have asked on an Indo forum and got the replies in contradiction to the website info.

It was a long shot, but you never know if you do not ask.

The voa might be the way to go, but info I read via the Indo forum said you needed 3 trips to immigration to gain the extension. Seems a lot of hassle while on holiday, so trying to minimise that by getting 60 days prior to arrival.
