Dog Smugglers Flee The Scene

Featured Replies

once again front page news and photo's of caged dogs ready to be taken across the mekong by ferry, but not one arrest,

130 dogs seized when navy officers stopped a pick up truck amazingly the driver escaped.

in another operation 550 dogs were rescued at a kennel, they were also destined for vietnam and china here again not one arrest as the gangsters all escaped.

i think most of us agree something has to be done, the fit and healthy should be re-housed and the rest put to sleep humanely

so not having to suffer the horrific death that awaits them.i am all for all dogs born and bred in thailand should be chipped

and breaders held responsible for making sure that dogs they sell, they must have the buyers id.so owners that neglect their dogs are traced and made to pay all costs inncured.

will anything happen well you make your own minds up,after reading todays story and not one arrest that just about sums it up.

meatboy a dogs best friend.

Its not Dogs from Breeders they are Soi Dogs 99%. No one will chip them.coffee1.gif

i think you will find there are more and more animal rescue organization in Thailand now, but all struggle to get anything done.

I am sorry to say, but when certain type of Isaan army moves in. they destroy anything and everything with little consideration or thought for tomorrow or other people

Sorry little off topic, but still related.

I take my dogs for a play every day to a beautiful park with 3 lakes, its privately owned and is really nice(for Thailand)

Lakes are full of fish, as many locals come around daily to prey and release fish.

Somehow Isaan army found out about the place, security was helpless.

First they eradicated all the fish they could, then they eradicated most flowers and trees which could be eaten

And final stage of total destruction, they drained out the lake, killing not only fish, but birds and all marine life.

Point is, its not only authority's who should act, but people of Thailand must start to use their brain, after all its there for a reasonwai.gif

PS. On the topic of good deeds, i have added another member to my already big family. One more kitten. He was about to be eaten by a soi dog. One of my staff removed him from the jaws of a hungry dog, fed the kitten and also fed the soi dog.

Now the soi dog comes around to the hotel to eat everyday and kitten has a new safe home at hotel. Now total number is 11(football team anyone?! lol )

What is the Issan army? Is it a state run organisation?

whats your point?these 99% soi dogs had owners once and some still do unless they bite someone, so somebody bred them unless this is the place that rains cats and dogs.

I think the main problem is lack of knowledge or skills or even desire to learn how to treat an animal and what its all about.

I know my neighbors, get a puppy, play and look after it, once its older, they believe its old and smart enough to live on its own, so the basically leave gates open and let them do whatever dog likes.

They do not desex them , dogs breed with other neighbors dogs, and so on.

"the gangsters all escaped".

"the fit and healthy should be re-housed and the rest put to sleep humanely"

I don't think we need the North American penal system here.
