Tourist Visa For Prcs & Ors On 15 Days On Arrival

Featured Replies

I'm trying to advise some PRCs on Visa issues.

As far as I understand, PRCs and Taiwanese, unlike most of us, have to apply for Visa on arrival, which lasts for 15 days.

I'm so used to the 60 days plus 30 days formula for TR visa. Does the same 30-day extension apply to tourists who are granted Visa on arrival for 15 days ?

There is no extension available for a visa on arrival - if they intend to stay longer than 15 days they should apply for a tourist visa prior to travel (and believe travel may depend on having this if directly from PRC). VOA is only an emergency type facility for those that can not visit a Consulate.

Visitors who enter the Kingdom with Visa on Arrival generally cannot file an application for extension of stay except in special cases such as illness which prevents them from travelling, etc. They can submit an application at the Office of Immigration Bureau , Immigration Division 1, Government Center B, Chaengwattana Soi 7, Laksi, Bangkok 10210.
