Koh Phangan To Bangkok Hospital Phuket

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of doing this with Lomprayah. What time could I safely make an appointment please?

For Phuket, you should travel one day in advance.

Is there a reason why you prefer Bangkok hospital Phuket instead of Bangkok hospital Samui?

According to the Lomprayah website the 7.15 ferry arrives Phuket 14.00. I would like to know what time I could expect to be at the Bangkok Hospital in Phuket please! I thought that somebody on here may know.

In my experience of taking the bus from Samui to Phuket I have never arrived before 5pm that day. Usually a couple of hours hanging around waiting for passengers in Surat Thani.

I wouldn't rely on making an appointment the same afternoon you are arriving. Better you travel the day before.

Thanks smokie

So I was going to have to overnight anyway, so the next question is what time would my appointment have to finish the next day to get the Lomprayah back or am I looking at 2 nights?

I don't know what ever possessed me to settle in KP!

Again, why phuket when there is one in samui?

Thanks smokie

If your appointment was early morning you could get a bus to Donsak or Surat Thani for sure. I dunno the time of the last ferry to KPG.

You could always spend the night in Surat Thani if you miss it however.

As others have said.....why not just hop over to the Bangkok Samui hospital?

Candypants, Poor Sucker, get a life! Can't you work it out I HAVE TO SEE A CERTAIN SPECIALIST and I'll give you 3 guesses where this person is (and it's not Samui ok) Now I have about an hour to make a decision and I'd be grateful for some help on here please. Thanks

Just for your interest all of you, Bangkok Hospital Koh Samui has
very limited resources, equipment and specialist personnel and there are
many circumstances where you should not advise people to go there. It's
irresponsible of you and as I have found out can be a waste of time and
money, as well as delaying essential treatment.
Please stick to what you know and answer the questions being asked of you.
Thanks smokie, at least I've got an idea now

ferry to smaui and fly over

It is true that Bangkok Hospital Samui has very limited resources.

For many things, you will have to see a specialist somewhere else.

Closest to Samui are Taksin Hospital in Surat Thani, good, very little English spoken, and the public hospital of Nakhon Si Thammarat, a mixed bag.

Many people end up going to Bangkok.

Going to Phuket is unusual, but may be a reasonable option.

I trust we have finished with the bickering and name calling?

Inappropriate language removed - try and act like mature adults or expect a holiday.
