I often go to the cinema so get plenty opportunities to watch the King's Anthem Video. I know there are a couple of versions, but I am referring to the one that uses still images with just a little animation in them to give the perception of movement.

Towards the end of the video the screen shows a wide shot of the Royal Palace and slowly zooms in to show the Royal Family. As the camera zooms in, several pigeons can be seen and one in particular seems to be 'holding' a twig on the tip of its left wing.

Can anyone please tell me the symbology of the pigeon and, in particular, of the twig (if that is what it is)?

I of course am aware of the symbology of the 'Dove of Peace' but that, typically, is shown holding the twig in its beak (and it's a different bird of course).

Thanks folks.
