Sounds like this man died from natural causes, but it's getting to the stage where there's a death or serious injury every week out at Koh Larn. Maybe there needs to be better supervision of the swimming areas.

There are dangerous currents on the western side of Koh Larn.

I was on a fishing trip not too long ago, where we had a close call when swimming. The current just pulled 5 people away from the boat and the captain had to really fight with the rudder and engine just to catch the group. This was very scary and truly dangerous, because none of the group had life vests on.

...nobody should swim or dive alone....let alone an older person...

...any responsible local, familiar with the dangers....a witness .... should act accordingly...or be hled accountable...

(...hopefully, the holding of the persons valuables is not behind the lack of concern or involvement...)

Held accountable ? for what not telling a farang in Thai that its dangerous to swim somewhere ? Accountability in Thailand, good luck with that...

Should not swim alone. omg are you for real, perhaps no one should cross a road on their own too ?

This guy could easily have had a heart attack than have been in difficulties due to currents.
