seesip
I have a friend interested in studying over the summer--June and July. Private tutor could work too. Thanks,
EBF
I'm also interested in this (was just going to start the exact same topic, actually).
Greeen
You can try the Language Institute at Chiang Mai University as I know they have previously run short courses in Burmese there
mjsansai
yes CMU has but no speakers as of late, but they will be willing to give you English lessons but no Local Lanna language courses available, English only, 10,000K away; Burma a border country with no speakers, maybe they couldn't get their 90 reporting down right or the IM police don't care. rubberduck
There are several Burmese churches in Chiangmai, the Lisu Church behind Wat Gate pertrolstation and te Burmese Church on the way to Sankampeng between the first and second ringroad somewhere on the left side 80 meter off the main road. Not only the best sources for good housekeepers but there are a lot of hightly motivated people around there maybe you can arrange something with them. The old road 1006 or the new road 1317?

The old road 1006 or the new road 1317? The old road, if I remember well behind an abandoned Shell(?) gasstation. Elevated white building, visible from the mainroad, with open space in front. On sundays it's a cosy crowd there. Love these people, even I'm not a christian. They are very switched on an motivated.
