Sorry, I guess I should have said what is his occupation? No that sounds weird...um where is his place of employment?? no...... um.... what does he do?? Well you get the picture.

My partner used to work in sales but it was commission only and was completely taken advantage of so he's currently looking for new employment, possibly overseas (while I stay here!). He's trained in Hotel and Tourism so looking for something along those lines. Unfortunately salaries are so poor in Thailand and well-paid (lower-end) jobs in this field are difficult to get .... overseas employment (better money and experience) is the right thing to do at this stage.

May I ask Meme why do you want to know please?

sure, my boyfriend and I have been discussing jobs as of late. He is looking to change his job which right now is in construction. He doesn't want to work on the beach and he does not have a University degree. It just got me thinking about where other Thais who can speak English work aside from the beach. I hope I didnt come off as intrusive. :o

Not at all, just checking! My husband and I run a small restaurant/bar - very near the beach actually!!!!!!! But he does other bits like selling wood at times etc.

When in Thailand, my husband was a tattooist & artist, he was also a musician for 18years & used to play one or 2 nights a week for fun & some extra cash (he used to get abt 500-1000bht a night so good extra money) In the UK he has done a bit of construction & sells his paintings privately to friends on on the internet but now works mostly for a thai restaurant chain., Friday & saturday nights as a server & 3 days during the week buying & delivering supplies to their restaurants in London & the south East. he also makes tattos for friends.

Only another 18montsh to go & we will leave the UK I think so god knows what he will end up doing then.

I'm afraid my husband works in the resort with me, so, on the beach I guess :o

My husband worked in his familys bar/restaurant when we lived in Thailand, now works in a Thai restaurant in the UK :o
