Alien Embossed Shape On My Pleather Sofa? Help!

Yesterday I discovered a strange heat-embossed shape on my sofa (pics attached). For the life of me, I cannot figure out what object caused it. It's about 10 cm long and I have searched my condo high-and-low for the object that caused it. My partner, who is the only other person that ever enters the apartment, denies any knowledge of it. (I don't really believe him!) He usually charge his iPhone and iPod in that area on the armrest of the sofa, but as the shape is embossed, it could not have been caused by that.

If anyone recognizes this shape, PLEASE let me know asap, as I have sleepless night trying to think what on earth it could be...

When you say embossed, do you mean melted in? It must have been something hot?

Is there something metal under the leather the same shape ?. If it gets hot through the charger it may heat up and discolour.

Yes, but not hot enough to melt the plastic. And no, Scully, nothing underneath. It's embossed so it must have been something on top of the plastic making the imprint.

10 cm long, this looks similar to the shape of some plastic sofa / chair legs i have seen in the past, maybe someone put a heavy piece of furniture on the sofa arm whilst cleaning or something ?
