Triple Entry Visa

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

I wondering can some of you guys maybe help me.

I am planning to visit Thailand at the end of July for 6 months, I was planning to use a triple entry 6 month visa no problem.

But I made a huge stupid mistake when booking my tickets, I booked for a month extra! 7 months! f**king idiot I know.

It will cost me 240 euro to change my return flights. I was wondering could I avoid this by paying for a 30 day visa extension when I'm there. I heard mumblings that your last part of you visa can be extended to 90 days.

But would entering thailand with an air ticket saying 7 months and only having a 6 month visa be an issue, for example risking being turned back because of a stupid error on my behalf?.

Thanks in advance.

I just discovered my error this minute so a bit paniced and of course angry at myself.

I'm Irish btw.

Extend one of your entries and job done, no problem.

You won't be turned back if you have a visa, just the airline can make an issue if trying to fly visa exempt. As stated above, each entry you will be given a 60 day stay, and each entry can be extended 30 days for 1900 Baht. Just make sure to make the 3rd entry by the "Use By" date stamped on the visa.

Y'know, I would even go so far as to suggest entending the first entry to allow more options in the future should something unusual happen.

cheers lads, a lot calmer now.

If your funds and circumstances allow it, you could take a trip to Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos or wherever for a month between the first and second entries. As you have a visa, you would get the 60 days whether you return to Thailand by air, boat or land. It's just an alternative, should you so wish smile.png

As Beechguy said above "Just make sure to make the 3rd entry by the "Use By" date stamped on the visa." That, of course assumes that you use all 3 entries - not much lost if you don't

Have a great time! biggrin.png
