Searat7
Does anyone know of places in Bangkok that accept used clothes donations ? I found one at Chula Hospital years ago but could not find it last time I looked.

David48
There was a thread about that a while ago. this was my post then ... ... or there is an Aussie based organisation called Second Chance.A traditional Australian op-shop is funding school holiday activities forchildren in one of the poorest slums in Thailand's capital.Second Chance sells mostly second hand goods from expats to pay for varioussport and art activities in the notorious slum of Klong Toey. It's now developing a so called "upcycling" program in which Thai women inneed of an income make old clothes into new items - many of which arethen sold back to foreign residents.Short news clip showing the shop in action ... http://www.abc.net.a...k-slums/3767572Contact InformationSecond Chance Bangkok99/101 Ardnarong Rd. AdamBangkok
Second Chance (mentioned above) will actually come and collect your stuff. That's who I use - lazy, right!
TallGuyJohninBKK
Yes... I had them come by for a pickup in the past couple weeks, and everything went smoothly... In fact, we had an appointment window, and their pickup truck actually showed up about 30 minutes ahead of our scheduled time. We had our clothing in bags... But they had their own bags to carry things in as well... I don't think the pickup guys speak any English, but the staff at the store, thru whom you make an appointment, certainly do.
