I know this stretch of beach quite well, having been to Haad Lek and Koh Kong numerous times (as early as 1990) when the border was still closed but could take a smugglers boat into Cambodia and get an entry for 30 Baht.

Having said that it's a beautiful place but I think a bit far away from everything.

Prices seem OK.

Wouldn't mind spending a couple of days there and it's only a good 300 km away from Pattaya.

BTW is it French ? Would be a bonus foodwise.(and probably some good wines ex Cambodia)
