I'm interested in traveling to the usa with my 6 yr old daughter born in thailand us citizen two passports. We've gone to visit family before but with my wife (thai). This time my wife will follow. Is there any additional paper work I will need to exit thailand and enter the USA without my spouse being physically present?

Just checking.

A letter from the Thai wife, stating that the child is free to travel with her spouse is recommended just in case Immigration (on either side) question why the female minor is traveling alone with a male, regardless of shared names in the travel documents. You can attach a scan of the wife's passport, ID card and include the phone number. There have been some reports of this letter being requested but it is by no means consistent, universal or mandatory so better to be prepared IMHO. Just offer up the passports for checking but keep the letter handy in case they ask for it. I think that showing the letter at the get-go may needlessly open a can of worms.
