Finding Love In The Los

Featured Replies

Anyone on here lucky enough to find love in Thailand? How did you meet?

The answer is yes. We were introduced by a common friend some 10 years ago and moved in together six months later.

Yes, 20 years ago. Still together. Met more or less by accident. I was on my way to the airport to pick up a friend and actually was way ahead of schedule. Stopped to have a coffee and met this nice young man. Been together ever since.

Nice -- glad to know that love is still to be found.

Once again, proof that it can happen anywhere and anytime! Congratulations!

Anyone with recent online experience or places to meet? Particularly in Chiangmai? Thanks!

  • 3 weeks later...

I met a wonderful boy this week and it was love at first sight.

He worked in the bar but I took him away from that life and he is now with me.

Love is possible at any moment.

I live in Bangkok but visit Chiang Mai a few times per year and have some good friends who live there. I do think it is more of a challenge to find local guys there who are open to a relationship - not impossible, just a much smaller number of possibilities. Also, since most of the Thai men in the CM area tend to still live with their family - I think they tend to be more closeted and not as interested in a committed gay relationship.

Okaaayyy... How long have you been in Thailand?

Call me a cynic but my natural thought would always be "does he love me or my money"

He might just love both.

I was a student without income when we met, and he was a manager in a multinational company. Now we both work, and we have separate bank accounts.

Love is best. Both is good. Just money? Not so much.

I had been retired for 10 years when we met, 10 years ago (I retired rather early). Now neither of us work and we have joint accounts.

We both put in 100% of what we each had into the relationship, heart, soul and wallet, and either of us could walk away tomorrow with everything we both have. Life's short.

Would like to show my deepest respect to you for being so honest in a world full of liars.-wai.gif

I have been living with my partner here in Patong for 12 years. We met at a boy bar in Paradise complex. This is a perfectly reasonable way to meet loving and wonderful young guys. Why not?

Many have done this and are quite happy together.

Correct, why not. Congratulations!
