Card
I will soon embark on a holiday to Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Slovenia. Whilst there I would like to open a bank account in Switzerland (for Swiss Francs) and either Austria or Germany (for Euros). The reason is that I will then have a couple of accounts where I could shift cash from the UK to if ever I need to. I would keep them open with just a small nominal sum. My questions are these: 1. as a resident in Thailand, can I do this easily? 2. what documents would I need to open an account? 3. any suggestions on good banks for various products, credit cards, interest rates etc. Thanks in advance. LongTimeLurker
Why not just open a currency account in a bank in IOM? All under one roof the and no residence requirements.

Naam
any advice for somebody who wants to open a CHF account in Switzerland because he might spend a few grand there is useless. the same applies to the question "good banks for various products, credit cards, interest rates etc.". no offence meant, just stating facts
wooloomooloo
1 Swiss Franc equal to 33.14 Thai Baht give or take a few bob today. Further convert THB to GBP to CHF and it's obvious you're a man of means. Edited June 14, 2013 by wooloomooloo
