Northern Drug Courier caught by Pattaya Police

PATTAYA:--A female drug courier originating from Chiang Rai in the North of Thailand was caught during an undercover operation at a Central Pattaya Petrol Station on Monday morning.

A press conference was held at Pattaya Police Station to announce the arrest of Khun Oragan aged 26 who was caught with 4,947 Yabba Tablets and 315.42g of Crystal Methamphetamine, also known as “Ice”.

The woman was identified by previously arrested drug users and dealers as a courier for a major drug dealer in the North of Thailand. She was contacted by a Pattaya Police Officer, posing as a drugs buyer, who ordered 5,000 Yabba Tablets at a cost of 425,000 Baht. He had to pay 140,000 Baht into a bank account first and when the drugs were delivered, 20,000 Baht was to be given to the courier and the remaining balance of 265,000 Baht was then to be paid into the same bank account.
