I know this is an old thread but I'm going to Bahrain ( from Saudi ) next week with my wife ( Thai ) and kids . The kids are in Saudi on their British passports but I presume that they will be able to enter Bahrain on their Thai passports , just wondering coz that will be 100SAR saved if it's okay. Only wondered as we're going on the causeway and on their Iqamas it says they are British . Anyone done that ?

bermondburi how long will you be staying in Bahrain? If you're only going for a day or so there's no charge for Brits to enter Bahrain via the causeway.

Swapping passports in the couple hundred metres between Saudi and Bahrain immigration might cause a few problems as Bahrain will be looking for your Saudi exit or multi visa.

Cheers for the reply. I guess I'll take all passports and go with the flow. One thing though is that the Saudi exit visas are on separate pieces of paper. But it would say nationality on those. Have to see what happens. Going for six nights if that makes a difference.

Foreigners living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia:
Foreigners living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia arriving in Bahrain via the King Fahad Causeways may obtain a two week visa free of charge at the Immigration and passports office at the access point. This visa may be extended for another two weeks without charge. Also, this type of visa may be issued to foreigners employed as housemaids, chauffeurs, nannies babysitter and accompanying families entering Bahrain. Those families may not leave Bahrain without the employees’ escorts who arrived with them to Bahrain.
