June 19, 201313 yr Hi all, I am enquiring if anybody knows of a budget hotel of under 1,000 Baht per night in the Pattaya area that has a gym with good quality commercial gym equipment? (not gym equipment made for the home). Thanks.
June 20, 201313 yr Author Thanks bob4you, However the only Tony's "hotel" I am aware of is used a short time hotel so would not be suitable. Can you please provide the name and address of the hotel you are referring to?
June 20, 201313 yr Yes, Tony has short time rooms, but he also has long term "apartments" across 3rd Road from the short time rooms. Have no idea about price.
June 20, 201313 yr Why does gym have to be in the Hotel? Another option is : http://www.ajnfineart.com/ajn/body.htm Pattaya Furnished Rentals ...Monthly is 333B per day, plus electric...........and a 5 minute ride to http://www.universegympattaya.net.

Thanks Marmaduke for that suggestion, it something to consider. I cannot see from the website where the apartments are exactly located. I would still like to find a budget hotel (not any of Tony's properties) that has good quality Gym equipment?

I would still like to find a budget hotel (not any of Tony's properties) that has good quality Gym equipment? The only hotels with good quality gym equipment are expensive hotels. That's it. How could a cheap hotel afford to buy expensive commercial quality gym equipment and still make a profit? Just for example, high quality commercial ellipticals, treadmills and exercycles cost well over 300K, baseline. A Cybex Arc trainer is over 400K. You could adjust your budget and try the Royal Cliff or Centara Grand, or find a cheap room and walk to the gym... or find a cheap hotel with cheap equipment. It's nearly impossible to find high quality gym equipment in stand alone gyms, let alone in cheap hotels.
June 22, 201313 yr PRS on Soi 17. Don't know how the gym equipment is these days but they renovated the gym room a few years ago and maybe got some new stuff in? In any case the old stuff was OK but may be a bit worn by now. Just remembered The Ambassador Hotel, don't know the room rates though or if you want to stay that far out of town?
