Heading for the American consulate, and will be spending a few days in CM proper, say within the wall, or walking distance thereof. We have no use for amenities, only need the room for sleep and shower. So, if it's clean and quiet, all is well.

I was told that Daret's guest house is more like 200 baht for clean room and bath.

50bht a night, air-con dormitory room at 700 year stadium.
