Chiropractor?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have any experience with using a chiropractor here in CNX? I have an appointment next week with Dr. P. Parry at Rajavej Hospital. I've always sworn off chiropractors, but am willing to give it a go versus having some back surgery.

I have used chiropractor's off and on for years. In different cities and countries. It has been my experience that they are not all the same one of the most highly recommended ones in my last residence did nothing for me. Yet people swore by him.

When I first started seeing a chiropractor he was an older fellow. Who has long since retired. He was the best I ever saw. Every time he fixed a problem there was a shot of pain and then no more pain the problem was fixed.

I saw Dr Parry twice the first time he put a move on me I had never seen before but it took away 2/3 of the pain. Next week I saw him again and he did it again and informed me that was all he could do. I would have to see a physiotherapist. He did not lie to me to keep me coming back. I recommend him. But as I pointed out earlier they are not all the same none of them can fix everybody.

Yeah, I also saw Dr. Parry at Rajavej and "his moves" were very different from what I was used to in the U.S. But, the major difference was that he actually explained my problem and showed me some simple yoga positions -- if done for about 5 minutes every day -- totally relieved my pain. Wow -- I've never had a chiropractor actually show me what was the cause of the problem and give it a name. Once I knew the name of my problem, a simple consult with Dr. Google told me that the yoga positions Dr. P had shown me were indeed the best way to prevent pain long term. No wonder the U. S. chiropractors never told me the correct name for my problem - all they knew is that my insurance paid for 26 chiropractic treatments per year so somehow my condition needed treatment every two weeks.

I went to a Chiropractor Monday this week in Chiang Mai, i had twisted my frame and my hip joints were misaligned, very very painful.

This Chiropractor is also a specialist in muscle thereapy, i almost crawled into his office and 15 minutes later i could do anything.

Highly reccommend this Thai guy dont know his name but his office is by the side of the Manenarakom Hotel Changklan phone 081 4969143 or 082 0012082

Thanks all! I swore I'd never go to one, but figure its worth a shot even if it just relieves the pain for a bit while I think over the idea of back surgery. Thanks again!
