June 26, 201313 yr I am a little confused about my double entry visa.I am about to finish the duration of the first 60 days + 30 day extension. I am leaving Thailand for a few weeks. When I come back what happens? 1) Do I get to start another 60 days 2) Is the time I was away subtracted from the 60 days3) I get nothing and should get a new visa from outside the country4) Another option I missed?Appreciate any advice (especially if you have experience with the specific situation!)
June 26, 201313 yr The only thing to check is the "enter before" date stamped or written on your visa. If your return is before that date, you'll get 60 days, extendeable by another 30. If after that day you'll only get 30 days on arrival (just like entry without visa). Sent from my GT-I9001 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
June 26, 201313 yr Depends how long you are out of the country for,if you return within the utilisation date of the original double entry visa you will be granted the 60 days. What's the use by date, usually 6 months from issue for a double entry visa obtained in the UK.
June 26, 201313 yr All depends on the validity date on your visa ("Enter Before xx-xx-xx") As long as the visa is valid (not expired and entries left) you will get 60 days, which can again be extended by another 30.
June 26, 201313 yr Author Whoa, thanks for the quick responses!Ya, I'm leaving before the use by date, and coming back a few weeks after.

June 26, 201313 yr He has not said return will be after the use date - he still has not answered that question.

June 26, 201313 yr In that case you need a new visa or will only obtain a visa exempt entry. Another option would be to make an exit now for your new 60 day stay and then buy a re-entry permit (1,000 baht) for your trip and return travel (for the new 60 day entry obtained new to continue) and then extend that stay for another 30 days. That is if your exit is not longer than 60 days (which again is not clear the way you have written your replies).
June 27, 201313 yr As others are saying here there is a "must use before date" on your visa. It is usually 180 days after the issue date. You must use both entries before that "enter before date". Each ENTRY gets you a 60 day entry and a possible 30 day extension to that entry. Each extension costs 1900 Baht. So that gives a maximum of 180 days. So if you re-enter on the 179th day, you will get the 2nd re-entry good for 60 days .... and even though the original visa expires on the 180th day .... you can still get a 30 day extension on that second extension. But the important thing is that BOTH entries must be made by that 180th day .... because the visa expires after 180th day. A unused ENTRY after that date on that visa is no longer valid because the visa expired on he 180th day.
