When I have been on the mainland I have seen many Date palm plantations, so I was wondering if you can buy Dates in bulk on Samui somewhere. Please any ideas appreciated. evadgib Posted June 27, 2013 Share Posted June 27, 2013 I suspect the date palms that you've seen growing are the palm oil variety but to answer your question they always seem to have them in Big C but i'm not sure if they exceed 1kg packaging. Along Phetkasem Road (outside of the actual market) are sellers of dried fruits. Inside the market there's probably more sellers. The prices are clearly displayed so there's no dual pricing there. If you go to Surat go to the market not far from the night boat terminal they are in a 500g box called Natural dates from Tunisia.and they are imported via Malaysia.
