Expat Accident, Hospital & Life Insurance for all ages up to 75 years.

Featured Replies

I just purchased a policy today from a top Thai Life Insurance company that offers the Hospital and Accident insurance rider for ages up to 75 yrs. The life portion was not something i really wanted but combined with the Hospital and Accident riders the final price was the same I have been paying in at the best known Insurance agency in Pattaya for the past 3 years without the exclusions and the life insurance portion will not increase each year. Formerly I have been a licensed life and health general agent in the Western World and am very pleased with the professionalism and coverage provided in this policy that I purchased today clap2.gif for 30,000thb total for one year. I was paying 30,000 thb in Pattaya for a policy that I had to purchase before turning 65 and in that policy everything that was of concern to me was an exclusion in that policy (such eyes, retina & cataract, prostrate, cardiac, joints, arthritis, etc etc. etc.) and I am in very good health now without any severe pre-existing conditions, plus the worst part of that Pattaya issued policy was that i could not use the insurance in the hospital in the province that i reside now (Sisaket). If i needed hospitalization for something that was not excluded, I would need to travel 90 km to Surin or 65km to Ubon to be admitted to an approved hospital - that was not acceptable. I have a good national government insurance in my home country but being retired here in Thailand it would be very costly to fly back to my home country for care. I was disappointed to find out that the group coverage provide here was only for persons 65 or younger. So if this is helpful to you or anyone you know over 65 to 75 in good health like me that needs medical insurance anywhere in the Thailand that is good in any hospital in any province in Thailand, I would be happy to recommend mythumbsup.gif agent to you. The agent will also provide you with a complete translation of the policy and benefits and any exclusions that may be applicable in Plain English. Just contact me with a Private message. Jing Jing!

Hi can I have the details please.

And thanks

Yes if you PM teqila. biggrin.pngthumbsup.gif

It would help if we knew the details so we could all take advantage of this great policy.

If you are posting this to be helpful, include the name of the company and the policy you're referring to.

Otherwise it just looks like spam to make commissions or even a scam.

Reg WHY? I pm'd him like he asked and was sent the info I requested.

WHAT is your problem?

He stated his concern. Don't read English?

I'm not interested as I have current coverage but, if it really is a 'top' Thailand Life Insurer, one can make a few clever Google inquiries and it should not be too hard to find out who is the mystery insurer.

TOP insurers, even if their policy info is only available in Thai, do not generally try to hide themselves.

Agent or not the price is good.

in very good health now without any severe pre-existing conditions

How many +65s can fit this condition?

It would help if we knew the details so we could all take advantage of this great policy.

Then PM the OP, simple. smile.png

But if we could inquire directly then he wouldn't make any commission from these sales efforts.

Well maybe if you PM the OP you might find out if you can enquire direct, but if you don't

you wont. If the deal is a good one I personally don't care whether the op is making a bit

of commission or not. coffee1.gif

If you and reg had taken the time to PM the OP and ask about your apparent concerns you both

may have found out that aunty regs' concern was unfounded. biggrin.png

Mustang, very nicely put. Well done.

And, what happens when you turn 75? Turn into a pumpkin? No further medical insurance coverage?

Any options, at a cost, perhaps?

Mac

The OP has contacted me with the following information:

The company that I am pleased to recommend is Muang Thai Life Insurance (it has a hospital and accident rider that was what I needed) and is good up to age 75. it's affordable. It doesn't have excessive exclusions.

This is getting very strange. No commission, not even a date with the cute agent, just trying to help old farts like me over 65 that can imagine we are still sexy youngin's...55555!! Cummon xxxxxxx, if this don't fit you, then move onto another subject that you can rant and rave about. I didn't think this qualified as a post on the PA forum under trip reports, just a simple, if you want insurance let me know and i'll tell the agent that helped me. smile.png
