Kind of confused.

I would like to know if someone can help me get my situation clear.

I am a Dutch national and I used to stay in Thailand on a Non-immigrant O visa, single entry a couple times in a row.

Last april I decided to go for a multiple entry Non-immigrant O visa in Penang. I got it.

I entered Thailand a couple of days later. The only thing that I got in my passport was a stamp (the same one i got when i used a single entry non-O visa) which allowed me to stay for 3 months in Thailand. My actual visa-page (the sticker) did not get any "used"-stamp or anything.

Back in Bangkok some people told me that i should have gotten another (bigger) stamp in my passport where the immigration officer should have written a date 1 year from that day.

Another guy told me something about 3 months extra..anyway, i am very confused. Did everything go well?

My 3 months run out in a week. I hope someone can tell me what I am facing when I do a visa-run in Cambodia, or if I should do something else before leaving Thailand in a week.

Thanks in Advance.

Alex

Suspect you are getting this visa on basis of Thai wife or child? You are aware you can extend your stay at immigration on a yearly basis by both visiting them and filling out TM.7 form/fee of 1,900 baht each year (with normal copies of personal id and such) if you meet the financials of 400k in Thai bank account 2 months prior to application or 40k income per month?

As for your multi entry non immigrant O visa - each entry is limited to 90 days but during the one year it is valid you can make as many such entries as you like so making the last one the day before visa expires gets you almost 15 months stay. For now you either need to extend your stay or leave/return at any border for a new 90 day stay. For extension you could get 60 days without financial proof to visit wife or child or with financial proof extend for one year. But if near a border just a crossing and return will get you a new 90 day stay.
