June 30, 201313 yr So, i'm currently on a tourist visa (before I switch back to non imm B ) and 60 days is Monday, so I'll need to extend it 30 days then go to Vietiane in July. However, my passport was full and 4 weeks ago I applied for a new one and it just arrived from the UK. Do I need to go to embassy to do any crap or can I just take both passports Monday and have them stamp the new one and start using that? By the way, is Chaeng Wattana immigration open Monday as it's a bank holiday? Thanks
June 30, 201313 yr CW-is open. You take both passports to immigration to get the extension and immigration will take care of it. Than leave on the new passport and get the new visa in that one. In your case I suspect embassy letter is not needed, as you are on a tourist visa and immigration should know you UK doesn't issue a letter.
June 30, 201313 yr Author Excuse me? I'm aware and im talking about extension, hence I said "Extension" and not "Report". Are you replying to the wrong thread?

But if C-W do insist on a letter, just take your old and new passports along to the Embassy between 8am and 11am Mondays-Fridays and they should issue you with the necessary letter on the spot and free of charge (according to an email exchange I had with the Embassy last November).
