PATTAYA:--The main suspect wanted in connection with the shooting of a Village Chief in April 2013 has now given himself up to Nongprue Police.

Khun Sombat, who currently lives in Koh Chang in Rayong Province, was the subject of arrest warrant number 385/2556 dated 29th May 2013. He decided to present himself to Nongprue Police Station on Wednesday under the supervision of his Lawyer and under the watchful eye of Police Colonel Somnuk, the Chief of Nongprue Police.

The shooting incident occurred on 26th April and resulted in a number of arrests of those involved in the shooting of Khun Nikon aged 45, the Chief of Village Number 3 in the Pong area situated in East Pattaya.

Police determined that the shooting was allegedly ordered by Khun Sombat, who vehemently denied allegations he was involved on Wednesday. Two of the men previously arrested in connection with the shooting were taken to Nongprue Police Station and positively identified Khun Sombat as the man who had employed the team to shoot Khun Nikon
