lomatopo
There are many Thai torrent sites which have all sorts of stuff with Thai subs. Have your wife look for these. https://www.bitded.com/ http://www.tang-mo.com/ Maybe easiest to download ISOs, then you get the full menues? As you can imagine this topic comes up early and often, so a search may yield additional recommendations.
Mobi
You download the Thai sub-titles separately and use the menu in your media player to attach the sub titles to the movie. GOM and VLC are good for this. You can even change the size of the subtitles and advance them them up or retard them down if they are not quite in sync, but they are usually fine. http://www.thaisubtitle.com/manage/subtitle.php will provide many Thai sub-titles for popular western movies and there are other sites if you do a search. glegolo
With all due respect of course, but why in earths name dont you teach her to communicate in english, strange!! One of the blessings for the thailady´s when we falangguys come to Thailand and engage in their lifes, they will be given a door out of Thailand and a small glimpse of the world outside.... Dont deny her that........ Just buy her an electronic translator with sound quite cheap and start to work for it.. It is worth her while in the end.... She may even can fly on her own in some future, she may also be able to take directions at the airports and so on....'
