Thai Spring?

With so many headlines about Egypt, it's got me thinking whether Thais are capable of revolution themselves. Despite a dramatic rise in populism over the years, as we see the status quo remains; the names have simply changed (and with four education ministers in two years, often at that!). Such change of course fails to meet the definition of revolution.

Are Thais capable of transforming their society from the bottom up? Are we seeing the beginning stages of such a transformation, despite that it may take a generation or more to come to fruition? And if not, why not?
