a Burmese national who wants to learn Thai

Featured Replies

I wondered if anyone happens to know about any language resources - books or audio courses - that would help a Burmese national who doesn't understand any English to learn the Thai language?

I have a burmese aquaintance who seems to be fluent in spoken Thai, but cannot read or write Thai and does not speak English. He has been working in Thailand for some years and says he learnt Thai from watching TV.

What nationality does the Burmese national who needs help belong to? In Duang Kamon bookshop in Chiangmai, I came across a slim green text book written in Shan that explains the Thai writing of simple words.
