Utilizing Visa Validity beyond Double Entry

Featured Replies

Hi...

I am a Pakistani national, came here to register my firm. Unfortunately despite exhausting my second entry option the job is unfinished and is likely to take more time (few more months) whereas my second entry permission (of 60 days) is ending on 20th July. The visa issued is valid up till 17th of August. What I can do to a) maximize the visa utilization so my job is finished? and B) if needed to go outisde Thailand, any options in this regard?

You can extend your 60 day toruist visa by 30 days for 1,900 baht if you visit an immigration office.

It was not the case when I extended the first stay permission at Bangkok Immigration Office, they only gave 7 days :( may be Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka have different set of rules...

If you came here to register your firm, you shouldn't be on a tourist visa in the first place. Try a non imm. B

A Tourist Visa can be extended for 60 days.

A Non-Immigrant Visa will only be 'extended' for 7 days.

Which visa do you have?

Some countries do have indeed other rules. Seems they will only give you 7 days, which means you need to get a new visa from abroad to get an extra 2 months.

Some nationalities do get extra screening and can only apply in their home country.

Just checked, Pakistan is indeed in the list of countries that undergo extra checks and have to provide extra information, according to th Thai embassy in Australia.

You might need to fly home to get a new visa. It seems you can only get a visa in your home country or country of residence if you don't lve in your home country. As has been pointed out, the proper visa would be a non-B visa as you are here for business purposes.

correct typo

I suggest you try to get together as many documents as you can concerning your company and try to get a multiple entry B visa when you go home for a visa.
