How long does it typically take DHS to grant permission for a Thai wife married to a US citizen to immigrate to the US? We have been married 24 years. My wife has been to the US on two previous occasions. Our two children are US citizens. Our family are relocating to the US from Thailand.

If you've been married for 24 years and your children are US citizens I'd wager you have no problems.

What is your status here? If you are here on an extensions of stay you can do it all here by filing the I-130 at the Bangkok Field Office. Info here: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/menuitem.5af9bb95919f35e66f614176543f6d1a/?vgnextoid=6cee39d112b72310VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD&vgnextchannel=1ac900c262197210VgnVCM100000082ca60aRCRD

This can reduce the time down to about 3 or 4 months or possibly even less.
