Heavy parcels from the UK to Thailand - recommendations, please!

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

what's up? I need to send several heavy parcels from the UK and was wondering which carrier you use at what cost? Parcelforce is bloody expensive.

Cheers,

Chris

Regular mail if you don't want to get banged for customs charges, Private carriers such as FEDEX, DHL, UPS, etc. if you have more money than sense

If you compare prices I am sure that you will find Parcelforce (Royal Mail) will be cheaper than any of the private carriers

My wife has just asked me about sending stuff to Thailand. I said don't bother, the stupid thing is her friend has just gone to Thailand and may well have been below her laggage limit.

Just paid £25 to send 1.5kg by signed for delivery by Royal Mail - Thai Post, utter rip off. That was cheaper than all the others I checked though.

Try this site ..... http://www.parcelhero.com/

I just had a BP monitor sent from the UK, a small parcel really and it cost 18 GBP, more than the monitor itself. I hate to think what a heavy parcel would cost.
