ignis
Guess there are cheaper ways ? Last time did a border run that way was over 3 years ago, used a long boat..... boat was 400 baht, stamp and the fee 500 baht, very wet wooden boat and how to get off ? help from boatman, no idea where border post was, also taken by boatman = 100 baht for help and tip, so total 1,000 baht.. So even with the price going up the Andaman all in trip still look cheap.... If I ever need a border run and down that way will never go via a Long boat, I am to old for that. Mosha
Which stamp? I bought the visa in Penang for Thailand. IIRC this is the 2nd rise in 12 months.
lopburi3
They do not normally foreigner allow entry into Burma without a payment - regardless of where it is done. Did you pay that in addition to the 950 baht fee?
Nana Cowboy
Andaman was 850 including stamp, now it's 950 including
Nana Cowboy
It's a nice easy run for me but too far away for most expats. Funny how everyone takes the minibus to the club after getting stamped into Burma. I just turn right around and wait for the next boat back. Sometimes can get lucky and take same boat back right away. not last time though, had to go back with the same people who went to the club. oh well
